Saxman One Employee Leads, Plans, and Excels

DoJ | Employee Appreciation | Event Management | National Crime Service Victim's Week | On-Site Engagement Coordinator | OVC | Saxman One | Tinaa Award | Washington DC

Saxman One, LLC, a Cape Fox Corporation (CFC) subsidiary, recognizes an employee who shines for her leadership skills, ability to organize and create large scale events, and commitment to the work, all of which have led to success for Saxman One. Susan Frate is the On-Site Engagement Coordinator on a contract with the Department of Justice (DoJ) Office for Victims of Crime (OVC). This contract began in October 2018 and is a five-year contract that provides event management and support. Susan began working for Saxman One when the contract started in October 2018.   Susan’s exceptional performance on the job, her leadership skills, and her expertise has made her stand out to the customer and Saxman One. As a result, she was recently presented with a Cape Fox Tinàa Award for Employee Excellence.  This award is presented to employees who stand out for their dedication, performance, dependability, productivity, and drive. Saxman One is proud to recognize Susan and have her on the team.

April 25th through 29th was known as National Crime Service Victim’s Week. As part of this week, OVC organized events throughout the nation and federally to honor victims of crime and those who advocate on their behalf. Throughout this week, the U.S. Attorney’s Office joins federal, state, local, and Tribal law enforcement agencies, service providers, victim advocates and other allied professionals in remembering and honoring victims lost to violence and survivors of violence. To commemorate this week, the U.S. Attorney’s Office hosted an awards ceremony to honor outstanding individuals for their dedication to the cause of justice and for their support and service to crime victims. Saxman One provided the event management services to the DoJ OVC for this event with Susan Frate being the lead coordinator for the event held in Washington DC. On Thursday, April 28th, a candlelight vigil was held on the National Mall and on Friday, April 29th, the National Crime Victims’ Service Awards Ceremony was held at Constitution Gardens National Park on the National Mall.

This year’s event was the largest ever held with over 300 registered attendees and it was the first year that a candlelight vigil was added to the program. Recently, the customer wrote a letter commending Susan on her hard work saying,

“I would like to express my gratitude to you for your leadership in coordinating the logistics for the 2022 National Crime Victims’ Rights Week Candlelight Vigil, the National Crime Victims’ Service Awards Ceremony, and the Welcome Orientation. I have heard from so many people how beautiful and impactful the events were, and you were instrumental in their execution. This year, we added the Candlelight Vigil, and moved the vigil and awards ceremony outdoors, doubling the logistics support needed. I know that you spent countless hours coordinating with OVC staff, our award recipients, the National Park Service, The American Pops Orchestra, and many other vendors. The success of the events is due, in large part, to your work ethic, perseverance, and expertise and I’m so appreciative.”

Susan’s commitment and dedication have made her stand out, and we are delighted to honor her with a Cape Fox Tinàa Award for Employee Excellence. Everyone at Saxman One is honored to have Susan as part of the Cape Fox Team. Thank you!
