Wolf Lake Services (WLS), LLC, a subsidiary of Cape Fox Corporation (CFC), was recently awarded a contract to provide occupational health services to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC). This contract started on February 1, 2026, and has four option years to be a five-year contract in total. Cape Fox Federal Contracting Group (FCG) has been fortunate to have multiple subsidiaries become leaders in Occupational Health Services to our federal government customers, as with WLS.
The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) was created by Congress as an independent agency in 1974 to ensure the safe use of radioactive materials for beneficial civilian purposes while protecting people and the environment. The NRC regulates commercial nuclear power plants and other uses of nuclear materials, such as in nuclear medicine, through licensing, inspection, and enforcement of its requirements.
The NRC protects public health and safety and advances the nation’s common defense and security by enabling the safe and secure use and deployment of civilian nuclear energy technologies and radioactive materials through efficient and reliable licensing, oversight, and regulation for the benefit of society and the environment.
WLS will be providing occupational health services with a focus on the Office of Inspector General (OIG) team. The scope of work will cover pre-employment, surveillance, annual flu vaccines for the entire agency, ergonomic assessments, physician-led medical review support, FMLA requests, and disability requests.
Director of Strategic Health and Safety Operations, Mark Owens, commented on the impact of winning this contract with NRC, stating, “We are excited to support the NRC as they enter a new phase of employee health. This award is a testament to our team’s hard work, strong customer service, and commitment to building lasting partnerships.”
