On March 12, 2020, Eagle Health presented two Cape Fox Tináa Awards of Excellence. One was given to Makenzi Capezza and the other to Deandrea Jefferson. Both work with Eagle Health as Physical Therapist Assistants at Winn Army Community Hospital Physical Therapy Clinic. The Chief in the Department of Rehabilitation stated, “Since the start of their contract, they have demonstrated outstanding patient care skills, reliability, and positive attitudes. They have both contributed greatly to the Ft. Stewart Post-Operative Rehabilitation and Therapy (SPORT) program by providing high-quality physical therapy care resulting in a high return to duty rate and improving Soldier readiness. We really appreciate Ms. Capezza and Ms. Jefferson’s dedication to the Winn Physical Therapy Clinic’s mission.”
Makenzi Capezza recently stated, “I feel extremely blessed to be in this clinic treating the soldiers and their families with the best team I have ever been a part of. The team here is more like a family that knows how to get the job done, get creative, and execute while maintaining a positive work environment. We have a unique post-operative rehabilitation program found only here at Fort Stewart, and it has been an amazing and rewarding experience being a part of new army medicine. Especially during these crazy times with limited patient care, it has only reaffirmed my love and passion for this career, and I am thankful to have found this diamond in the rough.”
Deandrea Jefferson received the recognition award for her hard work and dedication. She recently said, “I enjoy working in my department because it challenges my knowledge as a PTA and allows me to enhance my professional skills. Also, I get the opportunity to work with a knowledgeable team, and play an important role at healing, educating, and rehabilitating US Soldiers for mission readiness.”
Eagle Health is proud to recognize both women for their hard work and dedication to the program.
