Recognizing an Employee on the Front Line of Success

Employee Appreciation | Health and Wellness | NIH | Patient Coordinator | SOAR | Tinaa Award

Concentric Methods, a subsidiary of Cape Fox Corporation (CFC), has many employees who are on the front line of success. These employees exceed expectations and often demonstrate qualities such as commitment, accountability, continuous learning, resilience, and a proactive problem-solving mindset. Recently, one employee stood out for her caring attitude, strong commitment, and tremendous communication skills. Idalia Lara is a Patient Care Coordinator for the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke on the National Institutes of Health Scientific, Operations, and Administrative Resources (SOAR) contract vehicle. Due to her exceptional service on the contract, she was awarded a Cape Fox Tinàa Award for Employee Excellence—an award presented to individuals who exemplify dedication, outstanding performance, dependability, productivity, and a positive attitude.

Idalia started working on the NIH SOAR contract as a Patient Coordinator in January 2025 in Bethesda, Maryland. One of her main tasks is to obtain authorization to consent patients to protocols. Over the past year, she has proven to be reliable, consistent, and accessible, with excellent communication skills and the ability to maintain detailed patient schedules. She has an excellent rapport with patients and has also streamlined processes.

Idalia’s Federal Task Leader commented that “Idalia had a great first year, despite the government shutdown and recent administrative changes. She is extremely reliable, consistent, and accessible, whether she works in the office or from home. She communicates effectively with our team and provides detailed patient schedules at our weekly staff meetings. She has a good rapport with our patients, anticipating their needs as they navigate to and from the NIH to participate in our epilepsy protocols. She is currently working on projects, updating patient flow, and patient informational handouts to ensure a smoother process for everyone. Overall, Idalia is a highly valued member of the Epilepsy Service, and we look forward to her continued contributions.”

Idalia stood out from the moment she began with Concentric Methods. She brought invaluable experience, having worked in the medical field since 2017.  When she isn’t working, she likes to read and play video games. She exemplifies what it means to be an exceptional employee and is well-deserving of this recognition. Thank you, Idalia!
