In August 2022, Eagle Health, LLC, a Cape Fox Corporation (CFC) subsidiary, received notice from the customer about the exceptional work of two Eagle Health team members on the U.S. Army Audiology Contract. Caroline Pirtle works at the Barquist Audiology Clinic at Fort Detrick, MD and Laura Pomeroy provides care at the Kimbrough Vision and Hearing Clinic at Fort Meade, MD. Both employees volunteered to support an event at the Dunham Army Health Clinic at Carlisle Barracks, PA. Each employee was recognized for the quality of their work, their dedication, and exceeding expectations. Consequently, Eagle Health presented each one a Cape Fox Tinàa Award for Employee Excellence. This award is presented to employees who stand out for their dedication, performance, dependability, productivity, and attitude. The two employees who received this award possess the talents and expertise that have become a trademark of Cape Fox. They are an asset to Eagle Health and Cape Fox.
Both Laura Pomeroy and Caroline Pirtle stood out to the Director/Commander of the Dunham Army Health Clinic, who appreciated their efforts to support the 2022 – 2023 academic year at the Army War College. An event was hosted in July where Laura and Caroline were responsible for assessing the hearing readiness of active-duty service members, interpreting results from these evaluations, and managing the influx and outflow of 249 patients while receiving multiple compliments on the process. This is an important and highly visible event at the College. This year the event was expanded to have all students complete a hearing exam.
The Director/Commander stated, “Caroline and Laura both performed superbly, and their efforts were met with gratitude and appreciation by the Audiologist at the event. They maintained pleasant, cheerful, and professional demeanors under stress while demonstrating excellent communication skills with patients and medical professionals. Each displayed initiative and resolve in all tasks and demonstrated outstanding competence in their duties. They both went above and beyond in ensuring our service members punctually received unparalleled care and compassion. Their collective extraordinary work ethic drove our event to a successful start and finish, and they were an integral part of our team, and we could not have done this without their help. They are outstanding individuals and most deserving of recognition for their excellent work.”
This laudatory praise is well deserved for both employees. Eagle Health Program Manager Courtney James praised the two women when she stated, “I have also personally recognized the contributions of Laura and Caroline. They strive for greatness and professional growth in their duties and always do so with a smile. They both were happy to help with this event, and Laura has participated in several events at other bases similar to this event. She travels to other locations to provide extra support and has always done so happily. Recognition of their efforts, both big and small, is truly deserved.”
Laura began working with Eagle Health in January 2021. She is a lover of all things music and books and enjoys spending her time going to concerts and traveling. She is working towards a Master’s degree at the University of Baltimore. Caroline started with Eagle Health in February 2021. She is married with a senior in high school. She enjoys traveling and cooking.
The entire team at Eagle Health extends its gratitude and admiration to both women. Their high-performance level on the Audiology contract has made them invaluable to the customer and a remarkable asset to Eagle Health. Thank you, Team!
