Winter is often a busy time at health clinics. There is an increase in flu and cold cases, and at the start of spring, there are also severe allergy sufferers. Many clinics experience a surge of patients who visit the clinic. Eagle Health, a Cape Fox Corporation (CFC) federal subsidiary, is an industry leader in healthcare services. Eagle Health provides occupational health services to over ten federal customers and the Office of Personnel Management (OPM). Recently, Eagle Health’s OPM contract reached a significant milestone in March when it served its 100th customer for that month at the Boyers, PA clinic.
OPM is the central human resource management agency for the U.S. Government. Eagle Health provides occupational health services to the OPM’s facility in Boyers, PA, and Washington, DC. The occupational health services provided include examinations; clinical and lab testing; first aid; urgent care of occupational and non-occupational injuries; medical response services (including emergency response as needed); health and wellness training education, and consultation programs; and immunizations, immunization assessments, and allergy assessments for approximately 4,000 employees.
The Boyers Clinic for OPM is manned by Occupational Health Registered Nurse Patti Schultheis and Occupational Nurse Practitioner Michele Ross. Patti recently commented on this significant record, “Today, we hit our 100th patient for the month of March. We knew we would, as we were at 98 yesterday. So, a small surprise was planned for the 2nd patient to ring our doorbell today. She was very surprised when she walked in.”
Jeff Mark expressed his own gratitude for the dedication of the team at the Boyers Clinic when he said, “Our occupational health team, located within Iron Mountain, Boyers, Pennsylvania, are some of the most professional healthcare providers in our company. Their dedication to supporting the staff of the US Office of Personnel Management and the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency has been recognized by the leadership of those agencies. In one year, they have developed relationships with their customers, taking them from an average of 5-10 patients in a month to over 100 patients. This is a remarkable accomplishment and a testament to their customer service and dedication to their profession.”
Eagle Health has become an industry leader for federal customers for occupational health because of the expert medical team that contributes to our success every day. Patti and Michele have stood out for their compassionate care, integrity, and commitment to excellence. Eagle Health has a broad talent field of physicians, nurses, and case managers who stand out as experts in the field. Our medical staff focus on the patient’s needs and are often recognized for their caring approach to service. Patti and Michele are two of those experts who provide the care needed when someone needs caring.
