One of the many reasons that many Cape Fox Corporation (CFC) employees stand out is for their exceptional caring approach to their work and their team. These employees support their team, show dedication to their work, and exemplify the performance and attitude often sought by an employee. One such employee has stood out recently for her caring attitude, positive demeanor, and demonstrated commitment to her work. Wilmey Gomez is an administrative assistant for Eagle Health’s Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Occupational Health Service contract. Eagle Health proudly awards Wilmy a Cape Fox Tinàa Award for Employee Excellence. This award is bestowed upon employees who demonstrate dedication, performance, dependability, productivity, and positive attitude.
Wilmy joined Eagle Health as an Administrative Assistant almost three years ago. She brought substantial experience in providing assistance in medical practices. Wilmy’s daily activities include scheduling appointments, answering phones at the clinic, preparing meeting agendas and taking notes, scanning documents into the Electronic Medical Records System, assisting in the management of the expanded FDA site OHS services in addition to the National Capital Region FDA sites, and organizing and maintaining a clean clinic for patients and practitioners. Wilmy is a diligent employee who performs her duties remarkably.
Over the past year, Wilmy has increased her workload to assist her team when they were down two nurses by assisting with onboarding new staff to include nurses specific to her organizational employee population and administrative assistance. Finally, Wilmy is being recognized for her effective communication skills with her teammates and manager.
Chief Nurse on the FDA contract, Ashanta Lewis, commented, “Wilmy’s organizational knowledge speaks volumes. She is often relied on by her teammates for historical knowledge.”
This is well-deserved and high praise for Wilmy. Outside of work, Wilmy enjoys traveling, hosting, cooking, eating, camping, fishing, and, most importantly, taking care of her children and family.
