Ergonomics is the study of work environments for safety and efficiency. Ergonomics is a cornerstone of many workplace health and wellness programs. An ergonomics program aims to eliminate discomfort and risk of injury due to work. Eagle Health, LLC, a Cape Fox Corporation (CFC) subsidiary, is an industry leader in Occupational Health Services. In September, Eagle Health won a new contract with the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) Office of the Chief Human Capital Officer (OCHCO) to provide occupational health services for their ergonomics program. Eagle Health is delighted to work with this new customer and to expand our expertise.
The NRC Ergonomic Program is integral to the NRC employee health and wellness program. It aims to reduce occupational injury and illness, contain workers’ compensation costs, improve employee productivity and work quality, reduce absenteeism, and address Government regulation compliance regarding work environments. The OCHCO manages human resources (HR) planning, policy, and program development.
Eagle Health is delighted to work closely with the customer to ensure a safe and efficient work environment for agency staff. Tasks that Eagle Health will focus on include:
- Ergonomic Assessments and Follow-ups – Eagle Health will provide various ergonomic services, including assessments, follow-up visits, ergonomics equipment and workstation adjustment recommendations, and written reports.
- Ergonomic Assessment Reports – Written reports will be submitted for each ergonomic assessment performed.
- Training – Eagle Health will conduct ergonomic training for NRC employees, covering topics such as guidance on proper posture while working at the workstation, how to prevent an injury with exercises, the proper position of the monitor, etc.
Eagle Health has become the contractor of choice for government agency’s occupational health needs. Our mission is to provide exceptional services that showcase our expertise through innovative solutions, care consideration, professional judgment, and a mission-oriented approach. Our broad talent field will allow us to expand and grow our services and offerings meaningfully, and we look forward to bringing our dedication to the NRC on this new contract.
