The U.S. Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity (USAMRAA) issued Eagle Health, LLC, a Cape Fox Corporation subsidiary, a single-award, firm-fixed-price contract to provide general administration, financial management, and human resource support services to the Telemedicine and Advanced Technology Research Center (TATRC) at Fort Detrick, Maryland. As an Army Medical Research Lab, TATRC develops advanced medical technologies to optimize Warfighter performance and casualty care, focusing on the critical areas of computational biology, medical modeling and simulation, healthcare information technologies, and operational telemedicine.
Under this five-year contract, Eagle Health will allow TATRC to continue meeting research and management requirements, including providing administrative, financial, logistics, and management support services for the TATRC’s research areas and programs. The Eagle Health team will be responsible for various services, equipment, and supply agreements; maintaining general ledgers, associated funding, and invoicing using the General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS); and coordinating manpower requirements, including hiring, performance evaluations, awards, and personnel rosters. In addition, the Eagle Health team will provide assistance to TATRC leadership, coordinate logistics and property management functions, prepare official travel orders and vouchers, implement security policies and procedures, including the organization’s force protection plan, and perform operational impact assessments.
“Eagle Health looks forward to leveraging our expertise across the full range of our professional services to support TATRC’s mission to exercise fiduciary responsibility and quality assurance for all assigned Medical Research and Development (R&D) funds and to conduct research in the areas of computational biology, medical modeling and simulation, artificial intelligence, medical robotics, virtual health, and operational telemedicine,” said Harold Mitchell, President of Eagle Health. “This contract award demonstrates USAMRAA’s confidence in our ability to address their most important challenges and provide integrated tailored solutions.”
TATRC is an office of the headquarters of the U.S. Army Medical Research and Development Command with responsibility for four core research areas and one main program including Medical Modeling, Simulation, and Visualization Innovation Center (MMSIV); Digital Health Innovation Center (DHIC); Medical Robotics and Autonomous Systems Innovation Center (MEDRAS); Biotechnology High-Performance Computing Software Applications Institute (BHSAI); and Advanced Medical Technology Initiative (AMTI Program).
