Concentric Methods, LLC, a Cape Fox Corporation (CFC) subsidiary, recognizes an employee who shines for his commitment to the work and patients he serves, all of which has led to success. Robert Beres began working for Concentric Methods in October 2021 as a Clinical Social Worker at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Clinical Center in Bethesda, Maryland. He was recently presented with a Cape Fox Tinàa Award for Employee Excellence because of his empathy toward the patients and devotion and commitment to the contract’s mission. This award is presented to employees who stand out for their dedication, performance, dependability, productivity, and drive. Concentric Methods is proud to recognize Robert and have him on the team.
As a Clinical Social Worker, Robert is responsible for screening patients for protocol and clinical trial participation and assessing and making recommendations to a physician about the patient. He develops treatment plans based on assessing psychological, social, and medical realities, collaborates with clinical staff on crisis intervention, emotional and environmental support, and conducts individual, family, or group psychotherapy.
Robert stood out recently for demonstrating the depth of compassion, dedication, and consideration to one of the clinical center patients and his family by helping navigate the best care facility while he was awaiting treatment. His gentle encouragement and patience streamlined the discharge process. At the same time, his coordination with physical and occupational therapists allowed the patient and his family to recuperate and move to the next facility. Robert says, “I am humbled by the efforts made here [NIH Clinical Center] to give people that very chance, and truly appreciate the honor of supporting patients and their families through what can be the scariest and most confusing time of their life. And when all else fails, we must be the empathic ear and heart for those that may have run out of options.”
