CFMP Employee Sets a Standard of Excellence

CFMP | Employee Appreciation | Manager | Quality Control | Tinaa Award | Tinker AFB | USACE

Cape Fox Mountain Point (CFMP), a subsidiary of Cape Fox Corporation (CFC), has established itself as an industry leader with a high standard of excellence. A “standard of excellence” is a high level of quality or performance that serves as a model for others to follow. It represents the benchmark for success. One CFMP employee has contributed to that standard of excellence. Tammy Lambdin consistently shows strong leadership, a dependable work ethic, and a level of dedication that sets her apart. As a result, she was recently awarded the Cape Fox Tinàa Award for Employee Excellence—an award presented to individuals who exemplify dedication, outstanding performance, dependability, productivity, and a positive attitude.

Tammy currently works for CFMP as a Quality Control Manager supporting Tinker Air Force Base. During the Building 1 generator project, Tammy worked through multiple weekends, often with full and demanding days, to ensure that building users did not experience any utility impacts during normal work hours. She did this without hesitation, never asked for help, and maintained a positive attitude throughout. Her commitment and the relationships she built with the Building 1 users were key reasons we were able to finish the generator project seven months ahead of the contract period of performance.  Tammy is also managing two additional renovation projects at Building 1. Both are on track to be highly successful because of her focus, professionalism, and the boost in morale she brings to the team. In addition to her regular duties, she excels in gathering subcontractor submittals, maintaining effective communication, and fostering strong relationships with Base Contracting and USACE.

One of Tammy’s most impactful contributions involved supporting a handicapped building user who would have otherwise lost access due to our construction containment. Because containment areas are typically not ADA-compliant and are almost never designed to be shared with active users, the situation posed a serious accessibility challenge. Instead of accepting this as a limitation, Tammy immediately began looking for a way to maintain ADA access and protect the user’s independence. She coordinated with the demolition contractor to preserve a door and frame that would typically be discarded, then worked with the framing contractor to rebuild the containment around that door, creating a safe, clean, and functional temporary ADA entry. This solution went far beyond standard practice, requiring creativity, coordination, and a strong understanding of both user needs and construction constraints. Her approach not only ensured the user could continue moving freely and safely through the building, but it also demonstrated genuine care, respect, and responsibility for the people impacted by our work. This single effort represented the best of what we strive to deliver: smart problem solving, compliance-minded planning, and a commitment to doing what is right for the end user.

Nic Layer, Project Manager for CFMP commented, “Because of Tammy’s dedication and the way she handles her work, Building 1 users are very happy with our team and have identified Mountain Point as their preferred contractor for the foreseeable future. This is especially important as the building is expected to undergo many renovations in the coming years. Tammy’s work has played a significant role in building this trust. Tammy is the kind of team member who lifts everyone around her. Her commitment, attitude, and care for the end users make her an excellent candidate for this award.”

We could not agree more. CFMP is proud to have a team member who exemplifies the standard of excellence for which we have come to be known. Thank you, Tammy!
