Cape Fox Corporation and Cape Fox Facilities Services (CFFS) shines an employee spotlight on CFFS employee Alvin Barnes. Alvin is an Operations Specialist on the Defense Communications Army Transmission Systems (DCATS) contract. Alvin has a “go-to” attitude and personality. He is the person others go to when something needs corrected or reviewed for accuracy. During these times of changing workplaces, Alvin took the lead often in creating tasks and environments that would work for everyone on the contract. He has proven himself in so many ways, and we were delighted to honor him with a Cape Fox Employee Tináa Award on August 12th in a remote video celebration.
Alvin, better known as “Al,” has been described as the lifeline for the Wideband Enterprise Satellite Systems (WESS) Operations team. “From the toughest tedious projects to the last-minute spur of the moment projects, he makes sure it’s done accurately, timely, and spot-on impeccable!” Alvin can be reached at any time when a request needs to be fulfilled, and he works tirelessly until it is complete. His willingness to help also includes extensive knowledge to provide innovative solutions. Sabina Hobbs, Operations Specialist, stated, “He’s everyone’s go-to guru person for everything and anything! No matter the position or job description, he’s always ready and available to jump in and help anyone with whatever might be needed, no questions asked. If there’s a question of need, he’s on it, and he’s got you. To conclude, Al is always professional, patient, kind, and a true leader in every respect as a person, for the PdM WESS Organization as well as our Cape Fox Facilities Services Employer.”
The Cape Fox Tináa Award honors those employees who excel at their jobs, and Alvin is one of those. Due to the current teleworking situation, Cape Fox held a video ceremony for Alvin with a special Thank You video created by the Cape Fox Communications Team.
Congratulations, Alvin, for your innovative attitude, hard work, and dedication to the US Army DCATS Office, Cape Fox, and CFFS!
