Cape Fox Facilities Services, LLC (CFFS), a Cape Fox Corporation (CFC) subsidiary, recognizes Christina Johnston for her innovation, expertise, and forward-thinking, which has been an asset to the work of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Scientific, Operations, and Administrative Resources (SOAR) contract. Christina’s energy and determination have made her an extraordinary asset to CFFS. CFFS proudly awards Christina a Cape Fox Tinàa Award for Employee Excellence. This award is presented to employees who demonstrate dedication, performance, dependability, productivity, and attitude. Christina exemplifies these traits and, because of that, has produced positive results.
Christina has worked for CFFS since 2021 as a Procurement Technician at the Office of Cyber Infrastructure and Computational Biology, Rocky Mountain Laboratories (RML), Hamilton, Montana. She maintains all electronic and hard copy inventory records, assists in preparing and verifying contracts, maintains all purchase orders and equipment inventory, prepares correspondence and written materials, and provides customer support. Christina recently expressed her joy in working for Cape Fox: ” I absolutely love working for Cape Fox! During my last year with Cape Fox, I discovered what a wonderful company I have become a part of, offering a wonderful opportunity to work with the ever-growing research NIAID does. Working with the labs to provide equipment that will further research has been a great joy, and meeting all the wonderful people who work at RML is a pleasure. I see my coworkers in OCICB as my work family and truly look forward to arriving at work each day.”
The CFFS Director of Operations, Jeff Mark, recently commented on her work, “Christina’s drive and work ethic has enabled RML to obtain fluid and real-time property accountability. She has automated an antiquated system and brought it well into the 21st century.”
Christina stood out recently for her innovative approach when she created an automated spreadsheet to capture critical data. She has played a key role in the input and output of the form and process and in testing the process before it was released to the technicians. Because of her pioneering approach, the work on the contract has been tracked more effectively and efficiently.
Christina’s passion for what she does extends outside of work. Her family and her ranch provide her solace and happiness. Her inventive spirit is also expressed in creating t-shirts, painting, and woodworking. CFFS is thankful to have Christina on our team. Her creativity and resourceful spirit, matched with her high-performance level, make her a remarkable asset. Thank you, Christina!
