Cape Fox Corporation (CFC) and Cape Fox Facilities Services (CFFS) are honored to shine an employee spotlight on Melissa Rodriguez-Torres. Melissa is an Administrative Assistant on the Defense Communications Army Transmission Systems (DCATS) contract, who continually excels and goes above and beyond for the DCATS PEO-EIS WESS Office and Mission. She has proven herself in so many ways, and we were delighted to honor her with a Cape Fox Employee Tináa Award on July 20, 2020.
Melissa, better known to the team as “ROD,” is a new member of the Wideband Enterprise Satellite Systems (WESS) Operations team, and from day one, she took charge. She takes care of the whole OPS team, performing all the administrative tasks required, and handles additional functions with an ease and take-charge attitude, ensuring they are completed with satisfaction. During the contract’s transition to teleworking in response to COVID-19, Melissa has continued taking on additional duties, and she enthusiastically takes action when needed. Sabrina Hobbs, DCATS Operations Specialist, nominated Melissa for this spotlight, stating, “…she is always a Team Player, includes others when she’s done the work herself and doesn’t look for credits. Our success is because of the hard work that you do.”
The Cape Fox Tináa Award honors those employees who excel at their jobs, and Melissa is one of those. Due to the current teleworking situation, Cape Fox held a video ceremony for Melissa with a special Thank You video created by the Cape Fox Communications Team.
Congratulations, Melissa, for your hard work and dedication to Cape Fox and CFFS!
