CFFS Employee Recognized as a Remarkable Asset to the Team

CFFS | Employee Appreciation | HRTS | Human Resource Management | Tinaa Award | USAID

Cape Fox Corporation (CFC) subsidiary, Cape Fox Facilities Services (CFFS), recognizes Steven Moore for his outstanding contributions to the work of the contract, his proficiency, and his problem-solving skills. Steven is an HR Assistant on the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Human Resource Transformation Services (HRTS) contract. Steven has proven himself to be an asset to the work and mission of the contract and a tremendous asset to CFFS. As a result, CFFS proudly awards Steven a Cape Fox Tinàa Award for Employee Excellence. This award is presented to employees who demonstrate dedication, performance, dependability, productivity, and attitude. Steven has been lauded for his ability to produce positive results.

Steven has worked for CFFS since August 2022. His duties include processing personnel actions, conducting entrance on duty sessions, counseling employees regarding benefits and allowances, scanning documents into electronic Official Personnel Files (eOPF), and Human Resources Management research and analysis.

Steven was recently recognized by the customer for his “continuing and sustained outstanding contribution” to the USAID Human Capital and Talent Management, Foreign Service Center. The customer recently remarked that since joining the team, Steven “has consistently demonstrated initiative, professionalism, and teamwork, which are reflected in his superior contributions to achieving USAID’s mission.  Mr. Moore’s achievements have advanced the interests of the Foreign Service Center.”

The customer added regarding the contributions of Steven: “Improvements: The Foreign Service Center manages an Exceptions Committee process which reviews and adjudicates requests from officers.  Steven was a catalyst in developing critical utilities to better summarize and track Exceptions Committee requests.  As a result, HCTM/FSC now has an interactive summary page with drop-down menus for more accurate data collection and a dashboard for enhanced reporting and trends analyses. When the Foreign Service Center decided to conduct an After Action Review of the most recent assignments cycle, the Assignments and Career Counseling team assumed an active role in the planning and coordination of the exercise. Mr. Moore helped design a survey instrument and undertook the creation of nine suites of jam boards to capture stakeholder input which will influence the structure of the next year’s assignments cycle.”

Steven has also been lauded for his problem-solving abilities. The customer shared that “When FSC encountered issues in verifying the accuracy of some critical information which was used in controlling hiring numbers, Mr. Moore used his top-level Google skills to help create an improved tracker with links to source documents.  His new system is important in reducing potential vulnerabilities in the USAID system.”

Steven is recognized as going above and beyond regularly in his role. Per the customer, “Mr. Moore readily stepped in to assume additional duties related to administrative support for the Director and Deputy Director of the Foreign Service Center. In this role, he not only took on issues such as the management of official documents requiring clearance and approvals but also oversaw leave and attendance reporting for scores of officers on the USAID complement reporting through these channels.  He also responded to a request from a different division to set up individual Google folders for over 1,500 Foreign Service Officers.”

Steven has proven himself as an extraordinary team member with expertise and dedication to the work. Steven has a long history that has contributed to his invaluable experience and his positive forward-thinking attitude that has proven results. He was a service member in the Navy from 2006 – 2012. After this, he worked with the Department of the Navy until joining the USAID team. Steven commented that he has learned a lot at USAID and has been taught by amazing coworkers there. In his free time, he enjoys sports, working out, and all things videogame/Anime related. He has six kids who all enjoy the same hobbies, so he stays active and entertained! Steven is a shining example of an individual who works hard, remains dedicated, and excels at his work, and we are proud to have him as part of the CFFS team. CFFS President Todd Morgan commented: “It is the hard work and dedication of employees like Steven that represent the core values of Cape Fox, and we are proud to present the Tinàa Award for Employee Excellence to you! Thank you, Steven!”
