Often there is an individual behind the team that helps keep everything organized and running smoothly and effectively. These invaluable team assets are the glue that keeps a team together and united. They also do not receive enough recognition for their invaluable contribution to the work that they do. Cape Fox Federal Integrators (CFFI) is ensuring that one of its incomparable colleagues gets the spotlight. Lorna Holt is an Administrative Assistant on CFFI’s 711th Human Performance Wing (HPW) contract. She is being recognized for her professionalism, communication abilities, commitment to the mission, and her positive influence on team unity. For all this, Lorna is being recognized for her contributions to the contract and presented with a Cape Fox Tinàa Award for Employee Excellence. This award is given to employees who demonstrate dedication, performance, dependability, productivity, and attitude.
Lorna started working with CFFI in February 2023 as the Administrative Assistant working out of Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio. Lorna already had a long history of providing exceptional support when she began with CFFI. We are fortunate to have her on our team. For CFFI, her duties include reviewing and finalizing correspondence, preparing policies and instructions for distribution, ordering office supplies, recording and preparing meeting minutes, assisting with PowerPoint briefing development, sending suspenses in advance to meet deadlines, assisting with Excel spreadsheet development, answering phone calls, scheduling and managing Outlook calendar appointments, scheduling, and managing Microsoft Teams appointments, and a number of other administrative duties as assigned by the 711 HPW/OM Director.
Lorna has consistently received accolades from the customer, not only from the director she supports but also from other Air Force leadership/customers, for her exceptional work.
Natalie Klement, Operations Branch Chief, submitted, “I just wanted to send you a quick note to thank you for giving Lorna some time to sit with me yesterday. Since Anita retired, I assumed the tasker duties, and Lorna was kind enough to run me through the whole process. “I appreciated her thoroughness with the training and will stay in contact with her in case she needs assistance from our side of the house.”
Danielle M. Ward, Integration Manager and Senior Research Computer Scientist, added, “I wanted to take a moment to express my sincere appreciation for the outstanding interactions with Ms. Lorna Holt. I have been consistently impressed by her professionalism, efficiency, and dedication to ensuring our new tasking process is seamless. Ms. Holt’s proactive approach has truly made a positive difference, and I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to work with her! Thank you for having such a valuable member on your team!”
These words of praise are well-deserved for Lorna, who continues to outperform and excel. CFFI is proud to recognize an employee who is dedicated, thoughtful, and insightful. Lorna is a remarkable asset to the CFFI team. Thank you, Lorna!
