Aya is a soft-spoken, delightful fixture of CFSS. She has worked with CFSS for one year and four months. She is an integral Accounting team member who has demonstrated diligence in her work, the ability to prioritize projects, and strong organizational skills. CFSS is honored to present her with the Cape Fox Tinàa Award for Employee Excellence. Michael Cannon, Senior Program Manager for Construction Security Programs at Cape Fox Facilities Services (CFFS), nominated Aya for a Cape Fox Spotlight. He commented, “Aya recently became our Project Accountant for DIA Construction Security Services. From the beginning, she was receptive to understanding the different call-order invoices and the organization of the supporting documentation, as there are subtle nuances between them. When she has a question or concern, she brings it to my attention immediately so we can determine the best solution together.”
Aya manages all daily, month‑end, and year‑end accounting activities for several entities, including CFFS, Endeavor, Navar, Mission System, and Wolf Lake contracts. Aya is consistently diligent in gathering and organizing all required invoice‑support documentation and ensuring it is submitted in the correct billing period. Their strong focus on obtaining complete supporting materials enables others to prioritize the tasks needed for timely invoicing, such as finalizing timesheet and sign‑in sheet corrections and securing COR approvals for purchases and overtime.
Aya cultivates her work to lead to success for her coworkers and the customers. Outside of work, she cultivates a different kind of work. She loves to hike and enjoys family gatherings.
