Cape Fox Mountain Point (CFMP), a Cape Fox Corporation subsidiary, was awarded an all-inclusive operations and maintenance contract with the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Savannah District, for the Savannah Harbor Expansion Project Dissolved Oxygen (DO) Plants.
The DO plant projects were constructed to mitigate for low DO in the bottom half of the water column. The loss of oxygen is due to the deepening of the harbor from 42 feet to 47 feet. Oxygen depletion is largely apparent in the hotter months of the year.
The contract includes operations, preventative maintenance, and corrective maintenance. CFMP and Cape Fox Mission Systems will support the contract with management, maintenance, IT, SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition), operations, site work, and other specialized trades. The overall contract is a base year and four option years.
CFMP is proud to support the Port of Savannah and the USACE mission of maintaining the navigable Savannah River.
