Cape Fox Facilities Services Spotlights an Employee’s Achievement

CFFS | Employee Appreciation | Health Systems Specialist | INSCOM | Medical Readiness | Power BI App | Tinaa Award

The Cape Fox Tinàa Award for Employee Excellence recognizes our Cape Fox employees for their outstanding performance. Recently, one employee stood out for a recent job accomplishment, as well as her expertise, positive attitude, and diligence. Cape Fox Facilities Services (CFFS) is honored to spotlight Michelle Turner with a Cape Fox Tinàa Award for Employee Excellence. Michelle Turner achieved a career milestone by participating in the creation of the Power BI App for the Medical Readiness application. This application was placed among the top entries in the Department of War showcase. Michelle’s hard work and expertise exemplify the values of the Cape Fox Tinàa Award.

Michelle has worked for eleven months as a Health Systems Specialist on the CFFS contract for the United States Army Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM), headquartered at Fort Belvoir, Virginia. INSCOM conducts, synchronizes, and delivers worldwide multi-discipline intelligence and security operations for the Army and the Intelligence Community. Michelle was the Action Officer/Manager for the new application, and is currently working with the Operations Research/Systems Analysis (ORSA) Team to make end-user upgrades. She also developed the User’s Guide for the application and maintains control over the guide and the application’s security and permissions.

When recognizing Michelle and her team, INSCOM Command Surgeon Colonel Ezella Washington stated, “The INSCOM Command Surgeon Medical Readiness Power BI App has been instrumental in helping INSCOM units be proactive instead of reactive, allowing the Office of the Command Surgeon to surge resources immediately. Mrs. Michelle Turner has revolutionized how INSCOM sees itself in terms of medical readiness, deployability, and lethality.”

Michelle’s position with INSCOM manages the INSCOM Unit Medical Readiness Program, including data management and analysis, reporting procedures, access management, troubleshooting, and compliance for 16 Major Subordinate Commands and roughly 22,000 soldiers globally within INSCOM’s 2 Star Command. When she was asked what she enjoyed most about her position working at INSCOM, she said, “The working environment at INSCOM is second to none. Our team is collaborative, friendly, knowledgeable, and supportive of one another. I enjoy coming to work and feel enabled/empowered to make changes and improve the current system.”

When Michelle is not working, she enjoys being physically active, traveling, especially in Europe, reading a good mystery, baking, and spending time with her family. At work, Michelle approaches every task with professionalism, flexibility, and a commitment to excellence, and CFFS is delighted to spotlight this valuable employee. Thank you, Michelle!
